We are off to beautiful Colorado once again with the winter colder than normal. We are going to play it safe on the roads and rock some folks along the way. It is going to be a fun tour! See you on the road!

Update (or things have a way of changing)
The tour to the Northeast has fallen through for now, simon says booking dropped the ball on that one. We are currently looking for other options and for new booking representation, if anyone has any ideas let us know at collectall5@gmail.com
All is going fine for the band considering the change of plans, we are still writing up new material. We should be able to unleash some on of it at the speakeasy on september 29 which is a free show. Before that everybody should come out to the Flamingo on thursday september 22, where Tom and Tony will be the drums. Should be a great show, we are still working on other guests- come party with us pre-ACL fest! Matt is off playing with Topaz opening for Blues Traveller that day in Dallas- speaking of which we are playing Arlington on Saturday Sept 24.
See you out there!

weekend shows
The texas run was fun- the people were great. I can't help but get the feeling that we could have promoted more and got some more folks out. We have found that street team promotions are of the best we can do. Anyone interested in joining up on our street team and helping pass out flyers for free entry to our shows please contact us at teamca5@gmail.com .
The devastation on the gulf coast has affected us all. The run that Matt was going to do with Topaz was cancelled so he joined us last weekend- which was fun. Most of my family is from New Orleans and lost their homes to the flooding. Lets all send some prayers and positivity their way and wish for a fast recovery. There are also many other things we all can do to help, bringing food to shelters, money to charities, and other items.
Upcoming for us the the Northeast tour, it is still in the works and will release some dates shortly- also we will be playing some Austin shows this september so keep your eyes peeled for new dates. peace

New Happenings
During our time off of the road and "resting" at home we all have been busy playing with Collect All Five and forming or joining a variety of side projects. PILL GRUM has been fun with Jacob Benenate on second drumkit and Tony Cruz on congas- plus Josh, Matt, Jason, and Mark. It it mostly improv and more drum based. A project that has been practicing alot at the band house is TUMBATEO. Joe Sokolik on bass, Tony on Congas, Tom on drums, Connor on Trumpet, plus Mark, Jason, and Nick. It is mostly of Latin flavor and will have gigs coming up soon. It is sure to be a great time. Nick has also been putting time in playing with Phillip Alexander and the Young Bump- R & B at its finest. Matt got and offer to play a couple of weekends on drums with Topaz as he heads out southeast- he has committed to those gigs while the rest of CA5 has enlisted Tom from Tumbateo to play drumkit. So the shows from September 1-3 will have Tom on Drumkit. Don't worry Matt will be back when he gets back. I hope all of the Fans are ready for the new stuff Collect All Five are working on, it promises to be enticing. Till next time, drop us a line and let us know your thoughts.
check out the PILL GRUM website- we will have music up soon, so come back...

A little break
For now we are taking a much needed break from the road and working intensely on writing new material. We won't do major touring until September when we hit Texas and the surrounding states. In October we plan on going up to the east coast and raging some faces again. In the meantime the members of CA5 will be playing in various other projects to keep the juices flowing. We'll let you know when we know, till then...

East Coast Tour and more
Well, we had a great time on the east coast- cruising back and forth around NY and PA. The vibes were good the crowds were good and all of the great people we met made it all worthwhile. Thanks to everyone who let us sleep on their floors and park the van in their driveways- you know who you are.
We are trying to get a residency going at Headhunter's (720 Red River) in Austin. Please come out and support us on the back patio- we are playing two sets (hopefully) every Thursday in July. The cover is cheap- only $3. Our future plans involve writing new material and keeping mostly off of the road until September when we will tour TX, OK, LA, MO, and MS. Should be a great time in the dirty south- see ya soon!

Tour wrap up more on the way!
So, the tour was a success, we all had a great time and are becoming quite accustomed to the road by now. We continue to do regional shows on the weekends to pay the rent and those are always fun. Nacogdoches was a blast- the people are the best- very appreciative. We will be back hopefully for the Ten Acre Jam in April, but before that a new tour is in the works to head out west into California and Colorado again. With furthur plans for New York in June- it will be a bunch of touring from here on out getting the word out for our shows. In most of these places it will be our first time there so here is the shoutout- PLEASE TELL YOUR FRIENDS! Anyone in these cities we are hitting that our generous fans know please spread the word and tell them to check our music out on our site or a CD. We are working hard to keep things moving and appreciate all of the help we can get - contact us for street team perks at: Collectall5@gmail.com Check our site for updates and more tunes!

Touring for the first time
This Year has seen many changes for the band now known as Collect All Five. We have hit the road heavy for the first time- and now we leave on our first big tour for the first time. It is exciting to get on the road and spread our music to a larger audience. We have been getting some good responses from booking agents and people who come and see us at the shows. It is the challenge of keeping a balance with the shows and new material and keeping the sanity in the band. CA5 has been writing some different sounding material with odd time signatures and a breakbeat feel. It is all about feeling the energy of the crowd and shooting it back amplified. Thanks to all of the good people in the towns we have been visting, check our dates to see when we are coming back!
We really need help with promotions in all of the cities we play, if interested please email: everyone@collectallfive.com We can get you on the list for shows, give you a T-Shirt, poster, and of course flyers. Again, thank you for your energy, we'll see you out there!

Name Change
There has been alot of confusion over the name change. I would like to post it here and now to clear up any questions you may have.
About a month ago UFT was approached by two people interested in management/booking and promotion for the band. Being in the music business for a while they knew of a band Unified Theory out of San Diego. They thought it would be in our best interest to change the name, considering that Unified Theory was somewhat established- being ex-members of Pearl Jam and Blind Melon.
The problem was that people had come to our shows thinking they were going to see Unified Theory- and they wanted to make sure there was no confusion that we were them. The biggest issue is an unknown variable- Unified Theory is currently not touring, but should they decide to and have a problem with us having a similar name they would be able to sue us to not use it. So, to avoid any future problems we decided it was best to change the name.
Our new name is Collect All Five. It seems like we are going to stick with it. The name was a result of many hours of brainstorming with the group, finding something we could all agree on (and that is pretty tough). We hope everyone likes it, it was a somewhat hasty decision on our part but in the long run we think it will be best. The question whether it is the best name for us has been raised by many. I don't know if it is the best name for us, if we come up with something better we may go with that. Until that happens we are who we are. Collect All Five
